 ❝ദൈവമാതാവിൻ്റെ വാങ്ങിപ്പ് പെരുന്നാൾ.❞           ⚫ Shunoyo d’Yoldath Aloho ⚫ ദൈവമാതാവിൻ്റെ വാങ്ങിപ്പ് പെരുന്നാളും, അതിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന അഞ്ചുദിവസത്തെ നോമ്പും പരി.സുറിയാനി സഭയിൽ വളരെ ഭക്ത്യാദരപൂർവ്വം കൊണ്ടാടപ്പെടുന്നവയാണ്. പരി. സഭയുടെ ക്രമീകരണപ്രകാരം ആണ്ടടക്കമുള്ള മോറാനായ പെരുന്നാൾ പട്ടികയിൽ,  രണ്ടാം തരത്തിൽ ഉള്ളതും മോറാനായ പെരുന്നാളുകളുടെ കൂടെ കണക്കിടേണ്ടതും ആയ പെരുന്നാളാണ് ശൂനോയോ. ശൂനോയോ എന്ന പദത്തിന് വാങ്ങിപ്പ്, നീക്കപ്പെടുക, എടുത്തു മാറ്റപ്പെടുക എന്നൊക്കെയാണ് അർത്ഥം. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷയിൽ ഈ പെരുന്നാൾ പൊതുവേ രണ്ട് പേരുകളിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട് Assumption & Dormition. ഈ പദങ്ങൾ കത്തോലിക്ക ഓർത്തോഡോക്സ് വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ യഥാക്രമം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. Assumption എന്ന പദത്തിലൂടെ മറിയം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്ക് എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും, Dormition എന്നതിലൂടെ അവൾ നിദ്ര പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നും പഠിപ്പിക്കുവാനായി ഇരു വിഭാഗങ്ങളും ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ സുറിയാനിയിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന "ശൂനോയോ" എന്ന പദത്തിന് തത്തുല്യമാണ് ഇവ രണ്ടും എന്ന് പറയാൻ സാധിക്കുകയില്ല. ഇതിന് സഭകളുടെ വ്യത്യസ്ത പഠിപ്പിക്കലുകൾ ഒരു പ്രധാന ഘടകമാണ്.

  Parents ഞാൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ഇന്ത്യക്കാരായ വലിയ ഒരു ശതമാനം മാതാപിതാക്കളും കാലഘട്ടത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് കുറച്ചുകൂടെ അഡ്വാൻസ് ചെയ്യപ്പെടേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിച്ച നിമിഷം. ഞാൻ ഫാ തോമസ് പൂതിയോട്ട്, ഈ ചിത്രം കുറച്ചു ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പ് ജപ്പാൻ എയർപോർട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് ഞാൻ പകർത്തിയതാണ്. ജപ്പാനിൽ നിന്ന് അമേരിക്കയിലെ സാൻഡ് ഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ യാത്രയിൽ ഈ കുട്ടികൾ ഞാൻ സഞ്ചരിച്ച അതേ വിമാനത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.  എയർപോർട്ട് മുതൽ ഈ കുട്ടികളെ ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, 7 കുട്ടികൾ, അവരുടെ കൂടെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ഇല്ല, അധ്യാപകർ ഇല്ല മുതിർന്ന വ്യക്തികൾ ആരും തന്നെയില്ല. എയർഹോസ്റ്റസ് മാരാണ് ഈ കുട്ടികളെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നത്. ആ കാഴ്ച എനിക്ക് വളരെ കൗതുകമായിരുന്നു. വിമാനത്തിനുള്ളിൽ വച്ച് ഒരു എയർഹോസ്റ്റസിനോട് ഞാൻ കാര്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അമേരിക്കയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന എന്തോ ഒരു പ്രോഗ്രാമിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ പോകുന്നതാണ് ഈ 7 കുട്ടികൾ. അഞ്ചോ-ആറോ വയസ്സ് മാത്രം പ്രായം വരുന്ന ഈ കുട്ടികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളില്ലാതെ, പരിചയക്കാരായ വ്യക്തികൾ ആരും തന്നെ ഇല്ലാതെ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്നെ ശരിക്കും അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തി.  ഈ കുട്ടികളുടെ ആ ഒരു ധൈര്യം, അവരുടെ മാതാപിത

ശ്ലീഹാ നോമ്പ് -ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ നോമ്പ്:  ദൈർഘ്യവും, ആചരണവും ഒരു പഠനം ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ നോമ്പ്, വേനൽക്കാല നോമ്പ്, പത്രോസിന്റെ നോമ്പ്, പെന്തിക്കോസ്താ നോമ്പ് (കിഴക്കൻ സഭകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ) എന്നീ വിവിധ പേരുകളിൽ വിവിധ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ശ്ലീഹാ നോമ്പ്: എല്ലാവർഷവും ഈ നോമ്പിനോട് അടുത്തുവരുമ്പോൾ ഉയർന്നുവരുന്നതായ ചർച്ചയാണ്  ഈ നോമ്പിൻ്റെ ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ ദൈർഘ്യവും, ആചരണവും സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള തർക്കങ്ങൾ. സുറിയാനി ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് (യാക്കോബായ) സഭ അംഗങ്ങൾ  മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം, 1946ൽ പരി. അഫ്രേം ബര്‍സൗം പാത്രിയർക്കീസ്  ബാവായുടെ കൽപ്പന പ്രകാരം നോമ്പുകളുടെ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ പുനഃക്രമീകരണം നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആകമാന സുന്നഹദോസിന്റെ തീരുമാനപ്രകാരം, അനുസരിക്കാൻ ഓരോ സുറിയാനി സഭ അംഗങ്ങളും കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.  ആ കൽപ്പന പ്രകാരം ശ്ലീഹ നോമ്പ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പരിശുദ്ധ അപ്പോസ്തോലന്മാരാൽ സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ട നോമ്പ്, ജൂൺ മാസം 26, 27, 28 തീയതികളിൽ അനുഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും 29)o  തീയതി വിശുദ്ധ കുർബാനയോട് കൂടി അവസാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഉത്ഭവവും ചരിത്രവും ശ്ലീഹ നോമ്പുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വ്യത്യസ്തമായ പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങൾ സുറിയാനി സഭയിൽ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു.  ലൂക്കോസിന്റെ
