Shubkono: The Service of Reconciliation Lent is a time of introspection and spiritual renewal in the Christian faith, and it is when believers are encouraged to draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and reflection. At the heart of Lent lies the ministry of reconciliation, which seeks to heal the wounds of division and bring people together in love and forgiveness.  The Shubkono service is a significant expression of this ministry, which is performed two times In the Great lent season of the Syriac Orthodox Church, first on the first Monday after the noon prayer, or for convenience, on the first Sunday evening of the Great Lent and also on Gospel Saturday (Saturday of Good Tidings) before the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. St. Ignatius Elias III - The Man of Peace. (1867-1932 A.D) His Holiness Ignatius Elias III was born in the Shaker family on 30 October 1867, in Mardin, Turkey, to Rev Abraham Cor-Episcopus and Maryam. Nasri was the name given to him by his loving parents. He had three sisters and four brothers. Their house was close to Forty Martyrs church, one of the most well-known Syriac Orthodox churches. This blessed Church and his devoted family influenced Nasri since childhood. In 1889, Patriarch Ignatius Peter IV ordained him as a monk and a priest in 1892, and he accepted the name, Elias. He began his monastic vocation at Mor Hananyo Dayro, also known as Kurkkuma Dayro. Raban Elias was appointed administrator of the Diyarbakir diocese by Patriarch Ignatius Abded Masih II in 1898. During the Diyarbakir massacre, he provided safety to Syrian and Armenian refugees at the Mor Kuriakose church. Mayaltho Feast - The Dedication of Baby Jesus in the Temple of God. (February 2). Mayaltho is a Syriac term that relates to the dedication of infant Jesus to God's temple. Among the ten mandatory feasts of the Holy Syriac Orthodox Church, Mayaltho is the third feast following the commencement of the liturgical cycle.  This feast is celebrated by the Church on February 2nd each year, the forty-first day after the feast of the Nativity. According to the Scripture, Joseph and Mary carried the infant Jesus to God's temple to complete the purifying sacrifice. The firstborn male newborn should be dedicated to the temple of God on the forty-first day after his birth, as stipulated in the Mosaic Law. ലബനോനിൽ ഞാൻ കണ്ട സുറിയാനി ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ…❤ ലെബനനിലെ ഒരു ന്യൂനപക്ഷ വിഭാഗമാണ് സുറിയാനിക്കാർ.  മധ്യകാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ അവസാനത്തിൽ മംഗോളിയൻ അധിനിവേശത്തിന് ശേഷം ഒരു സിറിയക് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് (യാക്കോബായ) സമൂഹം ലബനോനിൽ സ്ഥിരതാമസമാക്കി, എന്നാൽ പിന്നീട് ഈ സമൂഹം എണ്ണത്തിൽ ചുരുങ്ങി തുടങ്ങി. ഒരു നല്ല വിഭാഗം മറുണൈറ്റുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചേർക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അസ്മാനി എന്ന ചരിത്രകാരൻ തൻറെ രചനയിൽ, ലബനോനിലെ പല മറുണൈറ്റ് കുടുംബങ്ങളും യാക്കോബായ വംശജരാണെന്ന് കൃത്യമായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.   ഇതുകൂടാതെ തുർക്കിയിൽ 1915ൽ നടന്ന സിറിയൻ വംശഹത്യ കാരണം തുർ-അബ്ദീനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു കൂട്ടം പാശ്ചാത്യ സുറിയനിക്കാരെ ലബനോനിലേക്ക് പലായനം ചെയ്യാൻ നിർബന്ധിതരാക്കി. ലബനോനിൽ എത്തിയ അവർ ബെയ്റൂട്ട്, സഹലെ, മുസൈത്ബെ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ കൂട്ടം കൂട്ടമായി താമസം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.  ലെബനീസ് ആഭ്യന്തരയുദ്ധത്തിന് മുമ്പ് (1975–1990), രാജ്യത്ത് വലിയ എണ്ണത്തിൽ സുറിയാനി ഓർത്തഡോക്സുകാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്ന് ചരിത്രത്തിൽ കാണുവാൻ സാധിക്കും. എന്നാൽ ആക്രമണത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി ഈ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ പകുതിയും പാശ്ചാത്യ നാടുകളിലേക്ക് കുടിയേറി.  പിന്നീട്, 2003 ഇറാഖ് അധിനിവേശവ...
